Manufacturer's Description
Large professional grade canopy and pole. A beautiful structure. Wonderful centre piece for any event. Line of sight right through at over 2 metres making it perfect for housing a centre stage or circular bar. Fast to erect and take down. Packs down small enough to go into a medium sized car boot. Has hoop half way up pole for hanging lights etc. Great value.
We came across similar things last year when running Hotel Bell Tent at festivals so, of course, we had to have one!
They were bigger and being used by Brands as bars and dance areas with DJs in the middle.
We thought how good would it be if we could simplify the design, shrink the size a bit and create an affordable structure that makes an awesome centre piece for an uber camp or event.
We now use them as part of Hotel Bell Tent as a shady place to hang out on a hot afternoon and everyone loves them.
So after a season of testing here it is, The Star Canopy!
An open sided, single poled structure, that packs down small, and goes up big.
Made from totally waterproof heavy duty 540g/m2 PVC the Star Canopy is a gigantic 13 metres wide and 5 metres high.
As it's held up by tension it only needs one heavy duty pole in the middle and big pegs to stay up meaning it packs down really well into two canvas bags which approx 1 metre long.
One bag holds the Canopy and the other the pole and pegs.
The total weight of both bags is 84kg so you need a couple of strong people to cart it about and put it up.
We have managed to put it up with two ex rowers but seriously recommend you have at least 4. As it have six 'wings' the best way to put it up is with one person on each wing and one by the centre pole. If you've got that many people it goes up in a couple of minutes and you save a lot of time adjusting as everyone's in the right spot from the off.
